BIOGRAPHY

Rooted in Purpose

Vijay Raju was born in 1963 in Visakhapatnam, into a modest home where strong values shaped his early years. His father, a gentle schoolteacher, instilled in him the power of knowledge and the importance of living with integrity. His mother, warm and wise, nurtured his empathy and inner strength.

As a Boy Scout, Vijay was seriously injured while saving a child from an oncoming bus, an act for which he received national recognition.

At just 14, after the devastating Diviseema cyclone swept through Andhra Pradesh in 1977, Vijay joined the relief efforts. It was there that he first witnessed the resilience of ordinary people and the unbreakable strength of communities in crisis.

At the age of 20, he joined the Technical Branch of the Indian Air Force. A year later, he married Sudha—his calm in every storm. Vijay served in key roles for over nine years, but eventually took premature retirement to assume responsibility for the family business.

Throughout his life, Vijay has lived by a simple truth:

“My nation, my community, and my organization will always be above self.”

For Vijay, service is not simply a role. It is a way of life.

PHILOSOPHY

“True leadership is not measured by position or accolade, but by the quiet, sustained restoration of human dignity in everyday lives.”

— Vijay Raju
